Granting admin privileges

Admin privileges can be granted to certain user in e107. This can be done from the admin area -> Users: Under Options, next to the user you wish to grant admin privileges to, you should choose Make admin: You can also remove the admin privileges from the same menu

A very important option in every CMS is to edit the META Tags on the pages to reflect the proper content/ownership of the pages. In order to create the proper META Tags please follow the steps below: 1. Log on to your e107 by typing your admin username and password on the front page. 2. Click on Admin Area. 3. Click on the Meta Tags from the main admin page. 4. Fill in the information: Description: Description of the META Tag Keywords: Keywords that the search engines will index the site for Copyright: Any copyrights you need to add to the site. Author: Your name Enter Additional Meta Tags: If you have any specific tags (created by a software) Use News title and summary as the meta-description on news pages: Self-explanatory 5. Click on the button Enter new meta tag settings.

Just like every CMS application, e107 allows you to create news items that will be available at your front page. In order to create a fresh news item, follow the steps below: 1. Log on to your e107 by typing your admin username and password on the front page 2. Click on Admin Area. 3. Select Content -> News 4. Click on Create News Item from the menu on the right. 5. Fill in the information: Category: Select if you want to add it to some category. Title: The title of the news item. Summary: Short description of the news item. Body: The content of the news item (you can use the WYSIWYG editor to add interactivity) 6. There are some options you can set for the News item. Each of them has a description as the link to apply it. 7. Select to Preview or to Post the news item once you have selected the desired options.

The e107 software is not currently available in the Fantastico tool. In order to have it installed you have to do it manually. Here are the basic steps you will have to complete: 1. Download e107 from the official site: http://e107.org/edownload.php 2. Once you have the package on your PC, you will need to upload it to your account.
